Reverend Al to Crawford

The AP reported that Reverend Al Sharpton plans to go to Crawford on Sunday to join Cindy Sheehan's anti-war protest. I guess the ratio of TV cameras to protesters got high enough to merit Reverend Al's presence. Can Jesse Jackson and Michael Moore be far behind?

Leading Democrats, especially those in Congress and those with presidential aspirations, remain conspicuous by their absence. Perhaps they understand that this spectacle is probably going to end up hurting Democrats more than anyone else. Or maybe they have enough class to avoid further political exploitation of Mrs. Sheehan.

The Good Rev. (being the kiss of death to any cause) should be thanked by all us vets who first respected Cindy Sheehan's right to protest, but are now sickened to here her refer to those who put an RPG in her son's HMMWV... "Freedom Fighters".

I'm not sure who is lowering themselves by association more, Cindy herself, or Rev. Al.

Sure is interesting how Cindy Sheehan alledgedly said all this stuff that she never said.

Earlier in the week I heard she was Jew bashing..only to find out she's used the word "neocon" and some Opinion Journal a-hole said neocon is codeword for "Jew"..so therefore she was Jew bashing.

Please.

I think it's a shame more Dems aren't down there with her. She's asking for the President to explain to her the "noble cause" he keeps saying her kid died for. Doesn't seem especially outlandish to me.

Heck I didn't see this much whining when Hannity trotted his sorry ass down to Florida during the Schiavo mess.

Clearly the British didn't view the likes of George Washington as "freedom fighters." That's a semantics game by both sides. Always has been, always will be. One man's brave freedom fighters are another man's evil insurgents bent on destroying all that is good. Surely that's got to be stunningly obvious to everyone.

As for Sharpton... He has precious little credibility. I don't see his presence lending any credibility to Ms. Sheehan's cause.

Carla, you don't have to look far to find all the things Cindy Sheehan has actually said. Who and what she is isn't a mystery any longer.

I didn't whine about the likes of Hannity and Jesse Jackson circling Terri's hospice like flies around you-know-what because I had my finger down my throat most of the time.

It's no big puzzle why leading Democrats aren't rushing to get in front of the TV cameras with Mrs. Sheehan. They know better than to associate themselves with something like this.

Kevin, nice little piece of trite moral relativism. BS, but nice.
